Talking Need help deciding - OL store or shop

*I'm not sure where to post this so if this is in the wrong place, please move it.

Hi, this is my first post here on GW Guru however I've been playing and reading from this forum for over a year now. At the moment I own Prophecies and Nightfall, both I bought at a local shop here where I live. I finished Prophecies twice and nightfall once and now I'm looking for something new to do.

This is where my question come in, I'm planning on buying more content for my account, however I have two dilemmas.

1) Should I buy Factions or GWEN?

-- Which one is more worthwhile? Which one will I enjoy most? I'm more of a PVEr and I hardly play PVP unless its geared towards PvE prizes (such as the holloween costume brawl)

2) Should I buy it OL or at the local store?

-- My problem here lies with what I will get with my purchase. If I buy the box, I get the manual and a CD. If I buy from the OL store, I get the bonus mission. Furthermore, its cheaper if I buy it online. I live in the Philippines and the exchange rate right now is like $1 = P43. The local store sells Factions for P1,900. However If I buy it online, with the current exchange rate, I will be paying P1,600.

What should I do? I need this answered before the 31st since the bonus mission is another reason for me buying OL. Thanks

Id say if you can, then buy online as you get mor econtent for less money as you have said. Secondly, as you already have nightfall, Id go for Factions as you get more game for your money (not counting more skills and other unlockable crap ).

Gwen is a nice expansion, but it cant compare with Fact in terms of replayability and diversity (apart from that you get to choose from 2 more proffessions, 2 more char slots and an extra storage tab which gwen doenst offer)

Yep, buy Factions and buy it online. Not only do you get it cheaper, you also get two more profesions, charracter slots, many skills, new pvp mode (alliance battles) which isnt bad for a pve-er, and the bonus mission pack. Compare that to a cd and a manual, which you dont even need since youre already playing for a year.

The CD contains nothing that you can't just download from the Guild Wars website. The client software is free, you're paying for an access key to create an account with (or to add to a current account). The manual is an okay read the first time, but its really just a bunch of out-of-date newbie info.

In my opinion, if its cheaper to get it online and gives you more actual content in the game, take that route for sure.

Also, Eye of the North is meant for players who have been everywhere else and gotten bored with the game. I would go with Factions, because its more content and more items/skills/armor/weapons to help out your characters. Eye of the North can wait.

Agreed. Unless you're simply into "having the box", the CD package is superfluous. Don't sweat not having the manual - as mentioned above, it's not so helpful. You can get all the info you need on Guild Wiki.
